Our Story
The idea for Wellbeing Foundations first came from a conversation with a senior leader running a Deals team at one of the Big Four professional services firms. Like many leaders, he wasn’t short on intent — he was short on time. During intense transaction periods, wellbeing was always at risk of becoming “one more thing” to add to already full days.
Instead of treating wellbeing as an extra initiative, he introduced a simple shift: supporting one another to protect a small set of core habits that could survive real working conditions. That insight — that wellbeing only works when it’s built into how work actually operates — became the starting point.
Alongside this, and through his own lived experience of navigating bipolar disorder and the challenges of Long Covid, Rob saw the same pattern play out personally. When life or work changes, it isn’t grand resets that sustain performance — it’s small, repeatable behaviours that are designed to hold under pressure.
That thinking became the foundation for Wellbeing Foundations. Today, it’s helping leaders, teams and organisations protect energy, stabilise mood, and sustain performance without adding more to already overloaded days.
This work has grown beyond one story. It’s about creating simple, science-backed rituals that can be integrated into everyday work — across meetings, routines and decisions — so wellbeing supports performance rather than competes with it.
If you’re leading through sustained pressure and want to explore what this could look like in your organisation, we’d be delighted to start a conversation with you.
